1. What does it mean to fear the Lord? Discuss the implications of how the fear of the Lord affects our daily lives. You might consider these passages in your discussion (Prov. 1:7, 9:10; Psalm 128).
2. What aspects of Jesus’s character are highlighted in our passage? How do these qualities stir up faith and fear in your heart towards Him?
3. How can the hard-hearted response of the Jews help us think about evangelism and the response to the gospel of unbelievers in our lives?
4. Why do you think Jesus chose to perform this miracle on the sabbath when He knew the response it would cause?
