Maila was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the United States shortly after graduating high school, living in Southern California until relocating to Texas in 2021. She and her husband, Abel, have been married since 2008 and are grateful for their children: Toni Lee, Paul, and Kaleo.
Maila's marketplace experience includes roles in nonprofit, healthcare, public sector, academic, and faith-based organizations. Her family began attending Northlake Bible Church shortly after arriving in Texas, and they have been deeply grateful for the biblical teaching, discipleship, and community they have found here. She currently serves on the Kids’ Check-In Team and loves meeting new families who visit NBC.
In her free time, she enjoys being a soccer mom, taking long drives with Abel and the kids while discovering great food along the way, reading, music, and cooking.
